1.a)She loves her mom but could not help wishing she would sometime lose her temper.
ReplyDeleteb)she came from a very poor family,so she always wanted a job but with her 'o' level and a typing speed that would make a tortoise laugh what she could hope for.
c)when she first started to work, theres a hidden hand causes havoc with Lucy's typing efforts.it was Miss Broome who disturb lucy.at first their relationship are not too good .They fighting each other and finally Lucy tell the truth to Miss Broome and Miss Broome understanding and Lucy can continue her work as the secretary at the Ross and Bannister's.
2.Because Uncle Bert like to drink,he lives with Lucy and her mother for years but never contributes financially. Moreover,he would have had any guilt about asking Lucy for 'pocket money'.
3.Because with her family condition and her 'o' level and a typing speed that would make a tortoise laugh.
4.Miss Broome did not have family so she took the office as a replacement.
5.Yes.Because she choose a right decision by not to quit from her job and decide to figt back.She also uses a softer approach to console her and manages to give Miss Broome a purpose for living and to move on.

c)The spirit communicated with her using the electronic typewriter. At first, she was horrified and frightened. Yet when she thought about the many luxurious things she could buy with her salary as a secretary, she became determine to fight the spirit.
